Rebranding

Task

Create branding, including a logo, website, merchandise, and icons, for a tourism campaign for the city of Vancouver.

Moodboard

In my research, I had discovered Vancouver’s dedication to battling climate change and their ambitious goals to become the world’s greenest city. Along with my knowledge of how beautiful and expansive the region is, this inspired me to put the surrounding geography and environments at the forefront of this campaign.

Sketches

At first, I was very set on incorporating some type of iconography suggestive of the environments on either side of the city into the word mark. It wasn’t until I started digital drafts did I decide to move forward with that idea in a more subtle way.

Final Design

Reflection

I’m so proud of this project and the flexibility in the branding to be applicable to such a wide range of advertising and merchandise. From the rolling curves of the word mark to the iconography, themes of nature, and the appreciation for it, can be seen throughout the branding.
