Personal Branding

Task

Design branding and a logo that’s representative of myself as a graphic designer.

Moodboard

I’m very drawn to colors, patterns, and organic shapes which is evident is evident with my moodboard below. Whatever I direction I went for my personal branding, I knew I wanted it to be eye-catching and have a friendliness about it.

Sketches

I was determined to transforms my initials into a personal logo and it wasn’t always a conscious decision. My sketches became a real testing site for how to achieve this in a unique way while still being representative of me. There was a lot of recreating the same idea over again just to do minor adjustments and tweaks.

Reflection

This was a tough project for me with being both the client and the designer. There seemed to be this theme of feeling like every logo I came up with wasn’t a great logo and failed to reflect myself as a person or designer. Once the project was complete, it became clear that this phase was necessary to go through as it not only brought me to the logo above, but it taught me lessons of creativity and determination. My new and current logo features my initials extremely rounded and reminiscent of a pair of leaves or petals on their side. The colors are bright and happy. All of these elements illustrate who I am as a designer and as a person.
